Hardwood Flooring Care & Maintenance
Hardwood Care & Maintenance In The Steamboat Springs Area
Daily Hardwood Care
Trust CarpetsPlus Flooring & Interiors in Steamboat Springs and Routt County, CO for all of your top hardwood care tips.
To keep your hardwood looking good regularly, you must invest in a quality broom and put it to use. Sweeping helps to remove dirt, dust, and other debris that can build up on your hardwood floors. If left unattended, this debris can scratch and harm the look of your hardwood, even leading to premature aging. How often you sweep will depend on the traffic your hardwood receives.
You may also want to place mats at the entrances of your home. Shoe removal is always an excellent way to prolong the lifespan of your hardwood floors or any other type of flooring.
Dealing With Hardwood Spills & Stains
Hardwood floors are notoriously tough on spills and stains. It is very unlikely that any lingering damage will take place when a spill occurs on your hardwood, so long as you act fast.
For liquid messes, wipe them up using a cloth or towel. The longer you wait to address a liquid mess, the more likely it is to cause issues later on. For a solid mess, sweep it up with a broom promptly. There's not much more to it than that!
When you doubt how to handle a specific hardwood mess, consult your manufacturer.

Carpets plus floored our whole apartment and they did a wonderful job! When we asked for the best carpet they gave it to us! And when we asked for the best wood flooring that doesn't scratch and won't get damaged we got it! They did an amazing job, they gave us carpet that will last for 10 or more years, stain free and damage tolerant. I have never seen flooring as nice as this, I defiantly suggest going to carpets plus for your flooring. They are the best you will find!

The work product was fantastic but what really makes this 5 stars is the level of service. Collaborative, responsive and great communicators through the whole team. Worked with us on timing, budget and product selection. Ownership was personally involved, friendly, prompt, and professional. Not to mention their team worked their tails off, were skilled and creative. Highly recommend. First rate experience and great result.

CarpetPLUS redid the carpet in all of my house. They were very helpful and honest when choosing carpets and very accommodating on when I got the carpet done. There were a few things the installers missed solely because I was the one who removed the carpet and they weren’t normally carpeted spots and they happily came back and fixed them up. I highly recommend using them for all flooring needs as I will in the future!

Wonderful experience with this local business. I was in a pinch to replace a torn piece in my home to get it ready for rent, and the team found a great matching design for my very old carpet. The installer was professional and did the work very quickly. These are extremely nice folks who genuinely want to help you!
