Carpet is one of the hardest-working surfaces in your home — and in a mountain town like Steamboat, it takes some extra wear. A little routine care goes a long way toward keeping it looking great for years.
Vacuum regularly — at minimum once a week, and more often in high-traffic areas. Vacuuming pulls out the dirt, dust, and debris that work their way into the fibers over time and cause premature wear and color loss if left to build up. It's the single most effective thing you can do to extend the life of your carpet.
Place quality mats at every entrance, and make it a habit to remove shoes at the door. In a ski town, that alone makes a measurable difference.
Dealing With Carpet Spills & Stains
Act fast — that's the most important rule. The longer a spill sits, the more likely it is to become a permanent stain.
For liquid spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Work from the outside of the spill inward to avoid spreading it. Follow with a cold water blot to dilute any residue. Never rub — rubbing works the stain deeper into the fiber and can damage the pile.

They had to come back out to change a few boards out that just didn’t look right. Adam, the owner even came over to see the project! He could not have been more helpful!
